Jeremiah 23, 25; John 19
While Jeremiah spoke judgement against the evil shepherds of Judah, the Good Shepherd took upon himself the wrath of God destined for all mankind. The wicked shepherds of Jeremiah's time paid no attention to his calls for righteousness and compassion yet the Good Shepherd was judged and killed because of his godliness and authority. Who we listen to and are guided by will determine our ultimate destiny. By putting my faith, hope and love in the Good Shepherd who paid for my evil heart to be redeemed is a good place to start.
