Hos 2-5; Heb 2
When Christ cried out, “It is finished”, and God rent the veil of the temple in two he removed the institutional disposition between man and himself. Man is not saved by belonging to an institution or a church but by belonging to Christ. Man has a habit of wanting to control the mechanics of faith but remember, we must all eventually stand individually before God to account for our lives. No institution will be there to speak on our behalf. Christ alone will be the judge. I love my church because it's full of Christ loving people and we have great fellowship but Christ must be Lord even in the places where God is most present. It may appear contradictory but Christ must be heard above all the voices of his people.
