Hos 6-9; Heb 3
When our Christian life finds itself among the thorns (Matthew 13) and we become influenced by it's worldly importance, Christ is choked out of our lives. Trouble comes, and we don't even realise it. When I am faced with a calamity or trial I must prayerfully consider, “Am I being strangled by the cares and worries of this life or is this an opportunity for me to see the deliverance of God?” When I am in doubt I find it ultimately rewarding to give God the benefit of the doubt. When I am in two minds about something I go to the mind of Christ. I am learning that the victory in Christ has a much better outcome than a temporary victory in the world.
