2 Kings 23; 2 Chron 35; John 7
We must be careful not to assume God’s will but to know it completely in our hearts. I imagine Josiah thought it was God‘s will to attack the Egyptians but it was a fatal error. In John 7 we read where Jesus’ brothers tried to get him to do something he knew was not right in God. We need to be particularly sensitive to the Holy Spirit when something appears to be a good idea but there is a check in our spirit. I do not want to make fatal mistakes which could easily cost me my life. I need to keep attuned to the voice of the Spirit and keep on reflecting on his word in all instances of life.
