Jeremiah 50-51; 3 John
Those that rule over God’s people have a greater responsibility than they can ever imagine. If they govern ruthlessly and unfairly then God will hear and pay attention to the petitions and prayers of his people and act in their favour. If the ruler is not humble before God and prayerful about his decisions he won’t have a leg to stand on. Even little children have the authority to petition the almighty power of God on their behalf. God will always act in accordance with faith and righteousness. To the world we may appear pitiful and weak but they don’t see the armies of God assembled in the heavenlies on our behalf.
