Ezekiel 8-11; Revelation 4
Almost 700 years separates the two visions of Ezekiel and John. Even though they are contextually different they are almost exactly the same. These awesome visions gives us an understanding, of sorts, of what glory is like and where the Lord reigns. It is a fearsome place containing terrifying creatures and the fiery holiness of God. It seems inconceivable that angels who once stood in the presence of God there could fall into sin and depravity. We must never underestimate the power of sin and deception and be determined to live with a clear conscience before God, which can can only be done through the saving grace of Christ Jesus.
