Isaiah 60-62; John 1
The believer has always lived with the hope that when his life is over he will enter an eternal joy and peace with God in glory. The whole of his life is focused on pleasing his Saviour and measuring his life according to this hope. But God has greater plans. He wants to come and live amongst his people. As he once wept over Jerusalem (Lk 19:41-44), his heart's desire has always been to rule and reign with a righteous nation. Whether this will happen in my time is irrelevant. His final plan is etched in the history of his Word and is waiting to be revealed - all in good time.
