The Proverbs give good advice on living righteously but it does not hold the keys to Salvation. It's not possible to achieve favour with God through our actions otherwise we would have to work for our salvation. Rather, God took the works and laid them on Jesus so now by trusting in him we will please God and consequently do the righteous works prescribed in Proverbs. In fact, it's not possible to truly live righteously without firstly coming to Christ. So even the worst sinner, the most wicked man, can find forgiveness in Christ and stand justified and redeemed before God for all eternity.
