2 Sam 17; Ps 71; Mt 26
Peter, in all confidence, thought he knew himself but under the heavy gaze of Satan he crumbled to do the very thing he did not want to do. I am like Peter, we all are. We think we know our own capacity and strength and become overly confident in our own abilities. It’s only after we fall do we realise the folly of our actions. Cheer up! God uses these situations to keep us humble and reliant on him for he is much bigger than any sin.
