Putting God at the centre of our lives and loving him with all our heart, soul and strength should be seen as the minimum response we can make to God. The great characters of the Bible all lived their lives in complete submission to God and this should be a quality we all aspire to. In some ways it’s much easier today because Jesus covers us in the blood of his personal sacrifice. By walking with Jesus we stay in the light and his blood covers us from all sin. (1John 1:7)
